Who are we?

Novaterr is a Canadian company that facilitates access to first class medical services offered by the Cuban company Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos, S.A. (SMC). In collaboration with Novaterr, SMC provides a comprehensive offer for the export of health-related services.

When Novaterr committed to expand its export services to medical tourism, the decision to partner with the Republic of Cuba and Cuban Medical Services was an easy one. Novaterr’s head office has maintained trustworthy business relationships with Cuban companies for more than 30 years, attesting to the performance and experience of Cuban export professionals. Multidisciplinary teams made up of doctors, nurses, technicians, engineers, technologists, psychologists, highly qualified and with vast experience constitute the essence of SMC. These professionals are distinguished by the humane treatment of each patient and their families, based on respect and ethics in their daily practice.

Cuba is internationally recognized for the quality of its health personnel and the medical services that they provide. Cuba’s health system is based on preventive medicine and the results achieved so far are outstanding. This is confirmed by the words pronounced in 2017 by Margaret Chan, Director of the World Health Organization:

“Cuba is the only country that has a health care system closely linked to research and development. This is the way forward, because human health can only improve through innovation.“

SMC has a network of excellent hospitals throughout Cuba, equipped with the most modern technology recognized worldwide, with institutions such as the Cira Garcia Central Clinic, the Camilo Cienfuegos International Clinic, the Hermanos Ameijeiras Clinical Surgical Hospital, the La Pradera International Health Center, and the Siboney Clinic. These institutions have international quality certifications, such as ISO standards, and certifications from AENOR and Bureau Veritas.
